Your Opportunity
The BIM Coordinator will assist in the transition from CAD to Revit towards true BIM deliverables. Provide support and mentoring to BIM procedures, workflows and best practices for modeling. The BIM Coordinator is responsible to coach and guide involved engineers with the implementation and application of BIM. Offer cross-team support for BIM software.
Your Key Responsibilities
Set up projects for the team and ensures compliance with delivery and BIM standards throughout all projects
Collaborate with the internal and external design team and other departments to identify areas of improvement and communicate procedural changes
Perform model audits and checks ensuring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan
Ensures compliance with drafting and BIM standards throughout projects
Checks the different aspect models on consistency
Conduct BIM coordination meetings with internal team and external project stakeholders
Makes proposals for any model adjustments, discusses and consults with the relevant members of the team
Identify and assist in creating, management and organization of Revit families and details to enhance content libraries
Actively participate and assist project teams with BIM project execution planning at project kickoff and project milestones.
Provide final check of all projects for quality assurance focusing on model quality and drawing graphics in collaboration with discipline leads and TAs.
Maintain good communication with engineers to assure timely and efficient completion of jobs, proper communication of issues, and proper documentation for each project
Evangelize, educate and support primary BIM applications
Assist development and implementation of training programs for BIM applications
Document procedures, workflows and best practices for data post-processing and modeling
Provide troubleshooting, assistance and mentoring for Revit users
Help with pilot testing of new BIM applications and add-ins
Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and MS Office applications
Expert level of knowledge of BIM practices, standards, workflows and techniques including modeling, collaboration, standards-checking, and clash detection tools
Understands MEP basics processes and AEC industry standards
Experience with a BIM execution plan and providing a detailed modeling plan for each phase of design
A clear understanding of a multi-disciplinary design approach and the delivery of projects to a high quality
Ability to define problems, evaluate options and make appropriate recommendations
Coordination and management of BIM models
Demonstrates effective organizational and time management skills regarding projects, reports and other commitments; completes assignments in a quality and timely fashion; able to manage multiple priorities concurrently; is punctual and dependable
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Demonstrates excellent analytical, problem resolution, and trouble shooting skills
Possess very strong organizational skills with attention given to detail and accuracy
Possess a personal sense of urgency and initiative and the ability to drive tasks to completion
Exhibits strong communication skills and can confidently interact with clients, vendors and co-workers
Maintains a positive, self-motivated, can-do attitude and work ethic with attention given to details
Possess the leadership skills that make for a sought-after project team member
Able to adapt to new technology quickly
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in AEC related field (preferred)
5+ years of BIM production experience in Architecture/Engineering (required)
Autodesk Revit Certified Professional (preferred)
CSI Construction Document Technologist Certified (preferred)

Pay Range:
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas - Min Salary $ 70,000.00 - Max Salary $ 101,400.00
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
