Description

Our QLD Water team is looking for 2 Cadet Drafters (1 x Civil and 1 Structural / Mechanical) , where you will work with experienced engineers, designers and drafters to deliver dynamic drafting solutions in a variety of water engineering projects.

As a Cadet Drafter, you will work on water-based projects and–

• Learn all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques and gain skills in relevant computer programs.

• Work under the guidance of our Engineers and Designers on engineering projects; and

• Provide accurate and efficient drafting services for the Business Unit in accordance with project times and budgets, with detailed supervision.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Completed your QCE (or equivalent), with strong academic performance in Mathematics, Engineering, and English, or currently enrolled in one of the following: Diploma of Engineering – Technical, Advanced Diploma of Engineering or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering

• Limited experience or a keen interest in drafting and design in the civil and structural space

• An ability to gain and apply knowledge of engineering drawing techniques and CAD packages

• Intermediate skills in MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel)

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment

• An ability to problem solve and manage your time effectively
