Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Junior Water Resources EIT or Hydrologist to join our Markham office, with consideration for other GTA locations. You will be part of the Water Resources Technical Team within Stantec’s Environmental Services Business Line.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Water Resource EIT or Hydrologist, you will contribute to a variety of hydrologic, and hydraulic projects within a dynamic design team. You will report directly to a Project Manager or Team Lead.

Valid G-class driver’s license required
The key responsibilities for this position include:
Assist with watershed characterization studies, flood plain mapping, environmental impact assessments, coastal and river engineering, and channel design projects.
Assist with hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling.
Conduct field investigations including water quality sampling, hydrometric measurements, data management and analysis.
Assist with preparation of detailed design drawings.
Development of work plans and cost estimates.
Technical report preparation and writing.
Working efficiently in a team environment, and
Perform tasks, as requested, efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques.

Valid G-class driver’s license required
Education and Experience
Graduate degree from an Engineering or Science program, with an emphasis on water resources and hydrology.
0-5 years of relevant working experience in consulting or regulatory environment, regularly using and analyzing water quality and quantity data.
