Stantec is seeking Account Manager/Senior Consultant to support our focus and growth with Key Accounts globally. This leadership position will be a key part of Stantec’s Environmental Services team that provides the full range of expertise needed to grow a wide variety of services with Key Accounts.

Your Key Responsibilities
Grow key accounts with a focus on environmental services.
Understand the industry trends and resulting client’s growth strategies, initiatives, needs, and expectations and then translate that understanding into project awards.
Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business.
Communicate the client’s needs and expectations, lead the marketing and pursuit of new opportunities, coordinate projects awarded to Stantec, and monitor project execution to ensure delivery is consistent with the client’s expectations.
Recruit the industry’s top environmental professionals to grow our team.
Understand our service offerings and collaborate with our Business Lines to identify opportunities to grow existing services, offer new services that meet client needs and expand our geographic coverage for the client.
Oversee and manage the development of project scope and budget and oversight of project technical requirements.
Oversee the designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and environmental remediation projects.
Perform quality assurance/ quality control reviews of environmental deliverables.
Support and ensure the implementation of Stantec Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work and coordinate with HSSE professionals during the execution of all phases of project planning and implementation.
Work in collaboration with our Technical and Operational Leadership to ensure adherence to project delivery processes, and to achieve client satisfaction, with the ultimate mission of becoming our client’s trusted advisor.
Metrics of success include expanding the number of client relationships, expansion of geographies served and services delivered, recruitment of new team members and building out of the high functioning account team, sales, net revenue growth, and profitability.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Demonstrated capability as a client trusted advisor and ability to develop new business
Skilled in verbal and written communications, including advanced technical writing abilities, regulatory agency negotiations, and requests for proposals responses.
Skilled at prioritizing, organizing, managing, and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Some travel will be required; therefore Good driving record and valid driver’s license
Ability to develop and implement a succession plan throughout career development, namely through the mentorship of mid-level and junior staff.
Skilled with computer applications and functions, including Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook.
Ability to prepare, read and interpret scientific/technical documents and plans for the affects/impacts to environmental resources.
Ability to perform work accurately in a detail-oriented environment and meet client schedules, deadlines, and budgets.
Ability to work with initiative, professionalism, confidentiality, and is able to work independently, multi-task and adapt to change in a very dynamic environment.
Ability to build high performing account teams, with the strong ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships amongst the team and client.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree environmental engineering, civil engineering, geology or related discipline preferred. Advanced degrees preferred.
15+ years of experience in a business development role with demonstrated success in client management and growth.
15+ years’ experience managing projects

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
