Stantec is looking for Process engineer with expertise in industrial, energy plants process engineering applications based the Pune, India office.

Primary Purpose of Job:
Performs calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Understand and work within Stantec's quality control guidelines.
Execute process and mechanical engineering deliverables on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment.
Develop PFD (Process flow Diagrams) diagrams.
Good knowledge on developing P&ID's (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
Develop process data sheet for safety valves, control valves and flow meters.
Perform calculations to specify equipment, i.e., Pumps, Compressors, Separators, Heaters, Heat Exchangers, Columns, etc.
Prepare process data sheets and specifications for equipment procurement.
Perform Hydraulic Calculations, through commercial software.
Work with Controls Engineers to develop the control philosophy and cause and effect charts
Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
Familiarity with Process Simulation through commercial software.
Perform PSV sizing calculations.
Develop Heat & Mass Balance.
Work as part of a team being involved in a variety of projects to help the development of solutions to delivery improvements and enhancements to process systems
Prepare reports, calculations, drawings required to support the successful delivery of projects
Maintain communication and develop on going contacts with clients as required

Person Specifications:
Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in chemical engineering. 4-5 years of working experience across process engineering of Industrial/energy Projects including basic, detail designing.
Baseline skills related to client service management, ie: should be able to communicate and interface with counterparts, technical leaders, project managers in Stantec global regions to build and maintain lasting, positive relationships.
Baseline skills related to project management, ie: should be able to assist in scope definition; estimate level of effort; schedule; proactively communicate with team members in Pune office, as well as regional counterparts; coordinate across engineering disciplines.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Should be good team player.
Fully competent in all conventional areas of subject matter or functional area.
Good understanding of other engineering discipline needs and interfaces.
Advanced presentation skills.
Knowledge and experience of working and delivering multi-disciplinary projects.
Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power point, etc.)
Strong desire to learn and work in a team environment.
Familiarity with industry standards and applicable ASME, API, ANSI, NACE codes and standards.
Familiarity with process simulation software: HYSYS, Pro-max
Working knowledge/ Familiarity with hydraulics software: AFT Fathom, AFT Impulse, AFT Arrow.
Success working within specified budgets and schedules and meeting corporate and project quality requirements.
