Your Opportunity

Stantec Buildings is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the delivery of electrical design and construction documentation for building projects. This role is intended for an emerging professional engineer working under the supervision of licensed engineers, designers, and BIM leadership while developing technical and professional competencies.

Your Responsibilities

• Set up new Revit MEP projects using established project templates

• Develop electrical construction documentation in support of project deliverables

• Develop and maintain electrical construction models using AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP as part of a BIM team

• Create field installation drawings and fabrication drawings as required

• Create, modify, and update Revit MEP families for project-specific needs

• Perform model and file management tasks including posting and downloading models, managing links, and maintaining historical versions

• Attend coordination meetings and assist with coordination reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation required

• Working knowledge of Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP

• Understanding of BIM workflows

• Strong communication skills

Education and Experience

• Entry-level or early-career professional

• Internship or co-op experience preferred

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
