Your Opportunity
We are actively seeking for Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student to join our growing team in Fredericton, NB office for a 4-month term, commencing in May 2026.
Your Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Assisting engineering staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling and evaluating project data, preparing reports and performing engineering-related calculations and analyses.
Working with technical staff to develop 2D drawings and 3D dimensional models under direction of senior staff.
Participating in site visits, when required.
Assisting in project administration including formatting and compiling reports, gathering information, managing data files, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Have strong verbal and written communication skills
Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and work in a team environment.
Be proactive and self-initiative
Be fast learner, with the ability to adapt
Have previous experience (preferred).
Basic experience with CAD tools, 3D modeling software packages and FEA analysis software
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs.
Education and Experience
- In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate coursework related to the specific engineering discipline.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
