What do our Graduate Engineering Geologists do?
As a Graduate Engineering Geologist based in Auckland, you will be working out of our brand-new Auckland office located in Newmarket right next to the Auckland Domain. You will conduct site investigations within the upper North Island and across the country analysing complex geological formations. Your insights will directly impact major infrastructure projects, ensuring they begin with a thorough understanding of the geological risks and opportunities.
Our team have been involved in diverse projects across the Auckland region. Our portfolio spans a wide spectrum from large scale endeavours such as extensive underwater pipeline investigations covering kilometers or more localised initiatives like overseeing the construction of retaining walls for cycle paths. This multifaceted approach allows us to contribute significantly to the development and enhancement of Auckland’s infrastructure.
Your day-to-day tasks may include:
Site investigations, including hand investigation and supervising machine investigation carried out by sub-contractors
Observations of ground conditions during construction to ensure they match our assumptions made in design.
Creating ground models and reports.
Desktop studies based on existing available information.
Inputting into 3-D geological models, and GIS models.
Your Role:
Work across the entire project lifecycle, from concept to design and construction monitoring (onsite).
Gain exposure to project management and client management.

You will be a recent graduate
With a degree in Geology or Engineering Geologist.
Be proactive and enjoy being in the field.
Have strong writing skills to communicate your investigations.
Ideally experienced in GIS and 3-D geology modelling.
Eligibility :
Be a recent graduate or due to finish studies by December 2026
Preferably have a full clean current driving licence
