What will you be doing day to day?

• Carry out site surveys, investigations and feasibility studies for proposed projects

• Assisting with electrical and renewable system design for solar farms, wind farms, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

• Preparing single line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment layouts under guidance from senior engineers.

• Running basic load flow, fault level, and cable sizing calculations using engineering software.

• Supporting inverter, transformer, and switchgear selection.

• Performing energy yield assessments and preliminary modelling.

• Assisting with grid connection studies and reviewing results from network studies.

• Analysing project data such as:

  • generation profiles
  • losses
  • system performance
  • equipment ratings

• Assist with collection and analysis of data as appropriate

• Assist in undertaking calculations, spreadsheet assessments and intersection analysis to ensure that technical assessments provide appropriate solution

• Support specific project including assisting with planning, co-ordination and report writing

• Organise tender documents, assist in the preparation of tenders

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Renewable Energy) or Electrical with Power major

• Passion for learning and problem-solving

• Australian Citizen, PR or NZ Citizen

• Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
