Description
HR Business Partner
About the Role:
Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. The diverse perspectives of our partners and interested parties drive us to think beyond what’s previously been done on critical issues like climate change, digital transformation, and futureproofing our cities and infrastructure.
We are designers, engineers, scientists, project managers, and strategic advisors. We innovate at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships to advance communities everywhere, so that together we can redefine what’s possible.
This is a client-focused HR Business Partnering role where providing advice and supporting business teams is crucial. Working as part of a national team supporting employees, there are a host of responsibilities which make the position both challenging and rewarding.
Your focus will include manager coaching and support, undertaking focused employee engagement activities, managing employee relations matters, supporting learning and development initiatives, and performance management. This position supports our global and regional Human Resource strategies and plays an important part in projects that keep Stantec’s workforce engaged and focused on our clients.
About you:
You will be a strong relationship builder, able to engage effectively with managers and employees to influence and deliver key business outcomes. With sound commercial awareness and a strong client focus, you will manage competing priorities with energy and resourcefulness. You will bring well‑developed employee relations expertise and the ability to work autonomously, while building and maintaining effective relationships across our New Zealand offices. You will also benefit from the opportunity to learn and collaborate with experienced HR professionals within a highly engaged ANZ HR team.
You will ideally have a tertiary qualification in HR or other relevant field with 5 years of HR experience. Your ability to partner, influence and maintain positive relationships with internal clients is essential, plus the organisational skills to prioritise and manage your own workload based on business needs.
