Your Opportunity
Marketing Specialists at Stantec play an integral role in the development and execution of creative ideas, branding opportunities and business development strategies. They collaborate with senior designers, engineers, scientists, planners, and project managers across the company to promote our brand, our people, and our project work.
Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple initiatives, events and campaigns? The Marketing Specialist role supports business lines across New Zealand. You’ll need to be a detail-oriented individual with a background in marketing or events, and a highly organised team player who can communicate effectively, manage multiple concurrent initiatives, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute brand promotion activity relating to sponsorships, tradeshows, conferences, client events and activities for a variety of services and business sectors.
Work with key business leaders to coordinate strategic materials and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand.
Write thoughtful, high-impact, and engaging content that highlights our depth of experience, expertise, and creativity.
Develop and execute social media campaigns to promote strategic initiatives.
Coordinate involvement in corporate community engagement events and activities.
Organise advertising, video and photography to support marketing campaigns.
Maintain marketing operational tools and systems.
Develop market-facing communications and visual displays in collaboration with the graphic design team.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Collaborative, conscientious and creative
Detail-oriented and highly organised with good prioritisation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign.
Works effectively within a group, as well as independently, and with different personality styles and management levels, both in person and across NZ.
Comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
Education and Experience
Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or related area preferred.
3 years of experience in a marketing or communications-related role preferred.
Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction or other professional services industry is preferred but not essential.
