To build on our strong reputation for quality and delivery, we’re seeking an experienced Regional Director to lead our established national transport business —someone who enjoys setting clear direction, building high-performing teams, winning meaningful work, and delivering projects that make a lasting difference—on time, on budget and with pride.

Key responsibilities include:

• Set and execute the business strategy for our transport business, aligned to agreed organisational goals and outcomes.

• Lead the financial performance of a ~250-person business, with clear accountability for P&L and measurable KPIs.

• Build and sustain trusted client relationships, develop strategic partnerships, and grow our transport presence across New Zealand.

• Partner with leaders across the business to integrate disciplines and maximise the value of our collective capabilities.

• Strengthen current and future capability by identifying gaps, developing talent, and enabling knowledge sharing locally and globally.

To succeed in this role, you will be a recognised leader in the infrastructure sector with 15 years’ experience. You lead with confidence, resilience, and a hands approach, ensuring strong outcomes for clients while setting strong direction for others. You bring well-rounded commercial and business acumen, complemented by an inclusive, proactive leadership style.

You will be well connected across New Zealand’s Infrastructure sector and actively represent Stantec with purpose and credibility at forums and industry events. You are comfortable building and sustaining executive-level relationships with government and private-sector clients.

As part of Stantec’s wider leadership community, you will contribute to the overall direction of our New Zealand business and represent the Transport discipline on the national Executive Leadership team. In this role, you will work closely with ANZ leaders to support and deliver regional and global growth strategies.
