Description
We are currently seeking a AQF5 (or above) Consulting Arborist / Ecologist to join our Environmental Services team in Melbourne. This role will see you delivering arboricultural advice and assessments across infrastructure, transport, land development, and environmental planning projects, ensuring best‑practice outcomes in tree management, urban greening, and project compliance. Day to day tasks would involve:
Undertaking a range of arboricultural assessments (Preliminary Assessments, Impact Assessments, Tree Protection Specifications, Hazardous Tree Assessments)
Supporting project approvals and compliance with relevant standards and local regulations.
Assisting with project planning, proposal development, and stakeholder engagement.
Providing technical advice to internal teams and external clients.
Supporting biodiversity offsetting assessments and regulatory submissions.
To be successful for this role you'll need :
Arboriculture qualification at AQF Level 5 or higher (Diploma, Degree, etc.)
Well-developed tree Identification and assessment skills.
2 years post graduate experience within a similar role, ideally within a consulting, construction, or regulatory environment will be well regarded.
Background in Ecology will be well regarded.
Excellent interpersonal, relationship, communication, and client liaison skills
Hold a current valid Drivers Licence
