Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the VP, Strategic Card Solutions, the AVP, Lead Agile Marketing Product Owner leads and develops a team of Product Owners responsible for delivering Plastic marketing products and capabilities—including card package and card design strategies, inventory readiness, strategic kit and envelope package options, and alternative fulfillment approaches (including no-card solutions). This role translates product strategy into actionable roadmaps, ensuring delivery aligns to client needs, platform integration requirements, and regulatory/compliance obligations.
Partnering closely with Synchrony client teams representing multiple Synchrony clients—as well as technology, operations, compliance, and vendor partners—this leader drives Agile best practices, predictable delivery, and audit-ready outcomes across the plastics product portfolio.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own and translate plastics product strategy into team-level roadmaps and prioritized backlogs spanning card package/design, inventory, strategic kit and envelope package options, and alternative fulfillment approaches.
- Lead and directly manage a team of 3–4 Agile Marketing Product Owners/resources who work directly with clients; coach on product ownership standards, Agile practices, and delivery execution in a regulated environment.
- Facilitate and oversee Agile routines (backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint feedback) and drive adoption of Agile best practices across marketing teams.
- Partner with Synchrony client teams to translate business strategy into requirements and sequencing; manage tradeoffs across competing priorities.
- Collaborate regularly with technology, operations, compliance, and vendor partners to drive platform integrations and end-to-end delivery.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and risks; proactively remove blockers tied to integration constraints, inventory/process gaps, or execution readiness.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are embedded in backlog items and delivery plans; coordinate with compliance teams on validation and audit readiness.
- Drive data-informed delivery and optimization by incorporating performance insights into prioritization and iteration planning.
- Track and communicate delivery KPIs (e.g., sprint velocity/capacity utilization, backlog readiness, on-time delivery of compliance items, dependency resolution time, and team engagement/development metrics) to leadership and stakeholders.
- Support additional duties and special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of a degree, HS diploma/GED 7+ years experience partnering with processing and/or card ecosystem platforms and partners in support of marketing-related system designs, integrations, and/or customer communications
- 3+ years of product ownership/product management experience (marketing, customer communications, or regulated fulfillment products preferred).
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional delivery in regulated environments with strong process discipline and attention to detail.
- Experience partnering with processing and/or card ecosystem platforms and partners in support of marketing-related system designs, integrations, and/or customer communications.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
- MBA and/or specialization in finance and/or technology.
- Experience with TSYS, First Data, Fiserv
- Experience scaling Agile practices within marketing, customer communications, or operations-adjacent teams.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills with comfort operating in a matrixed organization supporting multiple clients.
- Familiarity with creative/marketing workflow tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe and/or Salesforce) a plus.
- Proven track record of developing talent and building high-performing, engaged teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
Grade/Level: 11
The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
