Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the CFO for the Health & Wellness platform, this role provides financial leadership for one of Synchrony’s fast-growing sales platforms. This role is responsible for leading the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes for the Health & Wellness platform, including leadership of the Health & Wellness platform’s strategic vision and investment initiatives. It partners with the platform’s senior leadership team in driving profitable growth and achieving strategic objectives. This role is also a key leader on the Health & Wellness CFO’s team, providing key analytics, insights, and process improvement across the platform.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Engage with H&W market teams to understand business and portfolio dynamics and communicate performance
- Lead financial performance analysis and recommend actions as needed to improve performance
- Partner with cross functional leadership team to maximize growth potential, optimizing profitability and risk trade-offs within the competitive and economic environment
- Partner with platform leadership to develop and execute the business strategy
- Lead the annual Op Plan, Short Range Forecast and Strategic planning process for the platform as well as ongoing forecasting and analysis
- Manage team as well as indirect COE resources to execute forecasting, portfolio support and reporting activities
- Understand key contractual terms, ensuring forecasts and plans properly reflect changes and challenge where necessary
- Support strategic initiative team to ensure timely implementation and that reporting of cost and benefits is understood by platform leadership
- Lead periodic NI Review processes with the Health & Wellness Leadership team
- Provide quarterly support for external Earnings and reporting processes
- Lead profitability optimization efforts
- Provide key ad-hoc analysis as needed
- Support second and third line reviews
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a minimum of 7 years of FP&A experience (financial modeling, budget, forecast, data analysis)or in lieu of degree, 10 years of FP&A experience (financial modeling, budget, forecast, data analysis)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a finance role for a Consumer Finance organization
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance
- Credit Card portfolio acquisition and/or investment evaluation experiences
- Experience in collaboration on cross-functional teams and leading projects/initiatives
- Experience leading discussions with Executive Leadership team
- Experience in leading a team including direct reports
- Demonstrated strength in complex financial modeling and large data sets
- In-depth knowledge of Synchrony products
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and proven results at driving change across all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated process management skills
- Prior experience and responsibility for critical decisions
- Use of Oracle / Hyperion Systems and databases
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook
Grade/Level: 14
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You will be required to commute to your nearest Hub (either virtual or physical) for in-person engagement activities such as regular business or team meetings, training and culture events.

Eligibility Requirements:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
