About the Role
As a Senior Logistics Analyst on the Port and Facility First Mile Transportation team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring timely and efficient movement of domestic goods from U.S. vendors through Target’s consolidation and distribution network.
You’ll collaborate with internal partners, vendor providers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners to deliver operational excellence, strengthen 3PL relationships, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in speed, cost, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize product flow from vendor warehouse pickup through consol operations, ensuring on-time, cost-effective transportation.
- Partner with vendors and 3PL providers to improve performance, efficiency, and service reliability.
- Use data and KPIs to identify opportunities, measure impact, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute transportation strategies and special events with precision.
- Lead initiatives to enhance visibility, streamline processes, and enable faster decision-making.
- Act as a change agent—challenging the status quo and driving innovation across the inbound transportation network.
- Respond quickly and effectively to high-impact operational events to maintain service commitments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Economics, or related field.
- Proven track record of ownership and delivering measurable results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with transportation carriers or 3PL partners.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and KPIs to drive performance improvement.
- Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Transportation management experience preferred.
