The pay range is $58,100.00 - $104,600.00

The Design Partnerships Team brings Target’s most visible, memorable and culturally resonant limited time collaborations to life. For more than 25 years, the team has built a legacy of iconic partnerships that democratize great design, connect with culture, and deliver breakthrough marketing moments. From concept to launch, they lead the full lifecycle of each collaboration – shaping the initial idea and strategy, product design, creative direction, storytelling, guest experience and go-to-market execution. They partner closely with Product Design, Merchandising, Creative teams, external agencies, and Marketing channels to deliver cohesive, connected, and high-impact work across every touchpoint. Recent standout partnerships include: Kate Spade x Target, Roller Rabbit x Target, and Diane von Furstenberg x Target, each reinforcing Target’s leadership in making great style and design accessible to all.

The Marketing Project Manager, Brand Design Partnerships plays a critical role in bringing these high-impact collaborations to life. Partnering closely with the Project Lead from end to end, this role helps stand up each new collaboration with an entrepreneurial spirit - building the foundation, processes, and team alignment needed to launch a brand-new partnership every time. As a Project Manager, you’ll be a driving force in our Design Partnerships team as the key connector, source and driver of project management across the entire design partnership project and multi-channel campaign. Your core responsibility is planning and driving the strategic implementation of each project and process. You will partner and consult with various marketing and business functions on project coordination, establishing and communicating detailed timing and deliverables, managing product milestones and logistics, and helping to set clear expectations with partners. You’ll build connections across the organization and within projects, mitigate risks and roadblocks, and communicate roles and responsibilities throughout the project workflow. You are responsible for the financial budget of the project, including daily, monthly, quarterly and annual budget management, and communication to our budget captain. Your commitment to collaboration and driving results will rally internal and external partners across all functions to plan and deliver a flawless guest experience that inspires guests to choose Target.

Core responsibilities of this job are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs. Project Manager, Design Partnerships on the Creative Curation Team responsibilities include:

  • Drive the planning and execution of partnership projects by offering insights, connection, and influence
  • Create and orchestrate an execution plan to deliver on holistic project strategy, collaborating with key partners and optimizing processes and tools from project inception to post-launch
  • Establish and own marketing timing and action across all channels and functions, internally and externally, and coordination of deliverables, inclusive of meeting prep for designer and leader reviews, and leading CFTs
  • Lead shoot prep, including driving sample preparations, consulting on product priorities, coordinating asset needs, and facilitating reviews
  • Drive post production creative routing, approval, and delivery process
  • Own project budget management and marketing sample management processes, including vendor/designer payment processing

About you:

  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of related work experience in project management, marketing experience preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, delivering strong results managing and executing multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and influence/negotiation skills
  • Collaborative team player, ability to co-create with passion
  • Exceptional time management, organization and planning skills to drive others to achieve results on a timeline
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive operational excellence
  • Self-starter with demonstrated curiosity that thrives in time sensitive, fast-paced environments, with ability to dive into challenges and ambiguity

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
