The pay range is $95,000.00 - $171,000.00

As Sr. Manager, Marketing Finance Routines, you’ll lead the core financial routines that support Target’s total Marketing investment across Brand, Performance, and Non-Working spend. You’ll provide financial planning and analysis leadership, consolidate insights across multiple senior leaders, and elevate the financial story for the Marketing organization. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how Marketing expense performance is understood by the enterprise, strengthening monthly business review content, and reimagining how our expense tools support the future of Marketing Finance. This role requires strong financial acumen, executive-ready storytelling, and the ability to operate independently while influencing partners across Marketing and Finance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Marketing Finance’s core routines, including Forecast, Actuals, Long-Range Planning (LRP), and Goal.
  • Develop executive-ready content for the Marketing Leadership Team’s monthly business reviews, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and performance drivers across the marketing portfolio.
  • Build comprehensive reporting across multiple data sources (SAC, CRM, ARR) to create a clear and holistic view of marketing expense.
  • Develop a forward-looking perspective on the future state of monthly Marketing expense reporting that simplifies the drivers of our forecast variances.
  • Partner cross-functionally across Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance to ensure teams are aligned on investment decisions with clear KPIs.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance financial routines to improve clarity, efficiency, and decision-making quality across the Marketing organization.

About You:

  • MBA or 4-year degree with 6+ years relevant finance or business experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical drive, with the ability to develop reporting across multiple data sources (SAC, CRM, ARR) that tells a comprehensive and cohesive story.
  • Strong partner and communicator who can tailor communication to a wide range of partners and leaders.
  • Strategically minded, with the ability to develop new processes that add value for partners and leaders.
  • Self-starter who can prioritize and initiate work with limited direct oversight, assess business needs, and independently develop structured plans while operating within a team.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a strong desire to enhance existing routines, implement new ideas, and consistently evaluate processes to drive stronger business outcomes.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
