As a member of the Guest Marketing Strategy team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of guest-centric, culturally relevant communication strategies for Back to College (BTC). Your responsibilities will also encompass leading the creation of communication plans designed to drive business demand, strengthen the Target brand, and deliver unique value for our BTC guests.
As a Manager within Guest Marketing Strategy, you will lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of the BTC campaign. In partnership with the Marketing Director, you will help shape the campaign strategy, bringing a clear point of view grounded in insights and business priorities. You will collaborate closely with marketing, media, creative, digital, social, merchandising, and insights teams, as well as external partners, to deliver integrated and connected guest experiences across touchpoints. You will play a central role in aligning stakeholders, maintaining momentum, and navigating complexity to deliver against shared goals. Success in this role requires strong strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and the ability to lead through influence across a broad set of partners.

Partner with the Director to define and lead the BTC campaign strategy to drive brand and business growth.
Translate business priorities and guest insights into a clear campaign strategy and brief that unlocks strong creative and execution.
Lead end to end campaign planning, activation, and optimization, ensuring campaigns are on strategy, on time, and delivering measurable impact.
Drive the development of culturally relevant, breakthrough content and experiences that resonate with Gen Z audiences across channels.
Orchestrate cross-functional alignment across internal and external teams to deliver a cohesive and connected campaign experience.
Define success metrics, monitor performance, and lead campaign recaps with clear, actionable recommendations to improve effectiveness over time.
Represent the BTC campaign across Marketing and Enterprise forums.
About you:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of marketing experience with a strong track record of leading integrated campaigns from strategy through execution.
Ability to translate business objectives and insights into clear campaign strategies and briefs that drive creative and performance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate organizational complexity, influence others and collaborate across functions and leadership levels.
Proven ability to operate with speed and accountability in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Proven ability to lead and inspire agency and creative partners.
Demonstrated curiosity and ability to lead through ambiguity.
Experience developing work that resonates with Gen Z audiences is a plus.
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
