Team overview:
A role in Finance Capabilities means partnering with Finance, Technology, data and analytics leaders to co-create solutions that maximize business value and enable key strategies that are critical to the enterprise and for the experiences we create for our guests. Truly, an owner and expert of your freight and payables solutions and underlying processes, you will help shape the vision, align on the roadmap and mobilize your team and partner teams to deliver needed outcomes. Given most strategies have a Finance impact, you will also serve as a trusted resource to guide other enterprise partners in their solutions to ensure the success and integrity of end-to-end deliverables.
Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.
The Freight Capability is a critical part of the Accounts Payable product portfolio within Finance Capabilities. It enables end-to-end management of freight-related financial processes across domestic and import flows, including freight cost allocation, transportation claims, and freight payments. This capability ensures cost accuracy, operational efficiency, and visibility into landed costs, while improving vendor collaboration and integrating closely with supply chain and financial systems. As part of this team, you will be a product manager responsible for freight products across allocation, claims, and payment domains. You will also support evolving capabilities and integrations that enhance freight audit, cost visibility, and end-to-end payables transformation aligned with the Payables Next strategy.
Role overview:
As a Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, accounting and controls standards, as well as business user feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.
You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met, and the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop a deep understanding of freight operations and financial processes, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.
You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across Finance, Supply Chain, and enterprise platforms to deliver connected outcomes.

About you:
• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of Product Management experience or equivalent experience
• Experience working with finance, supply chain, or accounts payable products preferred (freight, claims, or allocation experience is a plus)
• Ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
• Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
• Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners across finance and supply chain domains
• Strong communication skills with ability to strategically communicate milestones and roadmaps
• Curious and driven to understand end-to-end freight, payables, and financial processes and business impact
• Superior problem-solving skills with ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems to root causes allowing incremental value delivery
