Role Overview
As a Senior Engineer, you will serve as a specialist within the engineering team supporting the product. You will contribute to application architecture and help translate abstract architectural concepts into concrete designs, influencing implementation decisions.
You will demonstrate expertise in applying appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems. You will be highly proficient in programming and actively contribute to product development.
While you are capable of independently designing and implementing architecture, you will prioritize collaboration by influencing peers through design proposals, feedback, and technical discussions.
You will exhibit strong problem-solving skills and support the team in triaging and resolving operational issues, while proactively eliminating recurring problems.
You will continuously learn new skills, tools, and technologies required to perform the work. You will use your skills, experience, and talents to contribute to innovative thinking and ambitious goals.
You Will
Apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies within your domain
Evaluate new technologies based on viability, maintainability, and cost of ownership
Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities
Contribute to product ownership, including financials and forecasting
Lead design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership for services
Conduct code reviews, design reviews, testing, and debugging
Lead functional and architectural discussions using process flows and system diagrams
Participate in development, automation, and implementation activities while ensuring best practices
Provide technical leadership and mentor others in solving complex issues
Lead disaster recovery efforts and contribute to planning
Embed data quality practices across data lifecycle processes

About You
Bachelor’s degree, 4-year degree, or equivalent experience
4+ years of software development experience
Strong domain knowledge and awareness of technology capabilities in the industry
Proficiency in multiple open-source programming languages, including distributed systems, with an understanding of various open-source frameworks and paradigms
Experience building custom solutions, including system architecture, solution design, build, testing, deployment, and production support
Proficiency in Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, Orchestration, Prism, Extend, XSLT, Workday Reports, and Security Model
Ability to design testing strategies and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision
Strong proficiency in core development platforms within your domain
Ability to build strong team commitment toward shared priorities
Clear communication of Agile concepts within the product team
Understanding of the impact of your work on team outcomes and guest experience
Ability to deliver high-performance, scalable, secure, and reliable solutions
Experience applying data standards, policies, and procedures
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies
