As a Sr Operations Analyst, you'll lead and optimize financial operations for Tech investments, partnering with Procurement, Finance, and engineering leaders to drive informed decision-making, deliver business outcomes, and ensure financial and operational goals are achieved across teams and domains.

  • Lead vendor spend management across Target Tech, ensuring alignment to contract terms and providing financial oversight across a complex portfolio of investments.

  • Oversee end-to-end financial operations, including purchase orders, invoicing, forecasting, accruals, amortization, reconciliations, variance analysis, and spend reporting.

  • Provide strategic insights into portfolio financial and operational performance to support leadership decision-making and track progress against business goals.

  • Facilitate and enhance routines that drive cross-functional alignment, while coaching stakeholders on processes, expectations, and responsibilities.

  • Prepare and deliver leadership-ready materials and presentations for planning, business review, and governance forums.

  • Drive continuous improvement through scalable tools, best practices, and process enhancements that increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Partner with Procurement to ensure financial structures and processes reflect contract terms and purchased services.

  • Partner with Finance to support corporate financial reviews, planning cycles, and compliance with financial policies and processes.

  • Build and manage strong relationships with internal teams and external vendor partners to influence outcomes and support business objectives.

  • Maintain and improve communication and collaboration channels, including SharePoint, intranet resources, and team communities, to support transparency and engagement.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated financial acumen with relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Operations, or related business functions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze complex data and financial information.

  • Proven ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage work with minimal oversight.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships, influence outcomes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Ability to develop clear, compelling business narratives and presentations for leadership audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work, drive alignment, and support decision-making across teams.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of discretion and professionalism.

  • Working knowledge of contracts, technology, applications, and platforms.

  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities, implementing better ways of working, and driving continuous improvement.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
