he Marketplace Partner Performance Analyst will play a critical role in driving seller success on the platform by defining key performance metrics and delivering actionable insights and recommendations

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and partner growth, enabling data-driven conversations with sellers to improve performance, profitability, and long-term growth. You will empower Partner Growth teams with insights, tools, and recommendations to drive meaningful engagement with partners and improve overall marketplace performance.

The responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Partner Performance Analytics & Insights

• Define and track key seller performance metrics (GMV, conversion, traffic, in-stock, pricing competitiveness, etc.)
• Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide visibility into partner performance
• Generate actionable insights to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps
• Analyze trends across categories, partners, and SKUs to inform decision-making

Partner Growth Enablement

• Equip Partner Growth teams with data, insights, and recommendations for seller conversations
• Support development of seller scorecards and performance frameworks
Identify levers to improve seller performance including pricing, assortment, inventory, and promotions
• Enable more structured, insight-led partner engagement and tracking of improvements

Profitability & Business Performance

• Assess partner-level profitability and unit economics to guide decision-making
Identify opportunities to improve margins while driving growth
• Balance growth and profitability through data-backed recommendations

Strategic Decision Support

• Translate complex data into clear narratives and business recommendations
• Support strategic initiatives to improve marketplace performance and scalability
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Pricing, Inventory, Promotions, Product) to align on performance drivers

Reporting & Automation

• Build and automate reporting solutions (Excel, DOMO, Tableau) for scalable insights
• Standardize KPIs and ensure consistency in performance measurement
• Continuously improve data infrastructure and reporting efficiency

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., B.Com, B.B.A.); Advanced degree/MBA preferred

  • 5–6+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, analytics, or marketplace business roles

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data-driven decision-making

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, DOMO/Tableau or similar BI tools and Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights and business narratives

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills : Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal as well as written, together with storytelling and presentation skills.

  • High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Self-starter with curiosity and ability to navigate ambiguity

  • Understanding of marketplace dynamics, seller performance levers, and e-commerce metrics

  • Broad retail merchandising, marketing, and operations experience with proven ability to drive results within a Matrix Organization

  • Possess Strong cognitive skills with the ability to demonstrate courage, think critically, and drive results.

  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex processes, synthesize data and results, and deliver insights and solutions.

  • Ability to develop partnerships to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders as well as be a change agent with the ability to influence change without authority.
