As a part of the Supply Chain Engineering Team, you will be in the midst of large scale change, strategy and growth across Target’s Supply Chain. This team operates in service to Global Supply Chain and Logistics (GSCL) by ensuring we are providing the needed support to continue to move freight through our buildings and ultimately to our guests. This team influences processes, strategizes and leads continuous improvement, drives standards, and leads metric achievement. This is a large organization that includes Senior Operations Managers, Operations Managers, Maintenance Technicians, Utility Attendants, Senior Systems Engineers and Senior Facilities Engineers.
As a Regional Senior Engineering and Facilities Manager, you will report to a Regional Engineering Director while supporting the Engineering and Facilities (E&F) network. You will reinforce safety as the non-negotiable and constant priority for the team. You will support intake and prioritize problem solving at a regional and network level across reliability, efficiency, quality, compliance, financial and team key performance indicators – driving global consistency across standards and continuous improvement. You will partner with both site level E&F teams and HQ teams to accelerate site level, regional and network solutions. You will maintain and communicate a total supply chain focus with an emphasis on leading complex problem solving for our current operations along with short and mid-term project management.
Detailed responsibilities include:
- Safety: Set a clear expectation that the safety and well-being of each and every team member is our top priority. Lead with the understanding that all incidents are preventable. Drive safety awareness and education across all levels. Enable team to be responsible and accountable for safety and well-being. Serve as a point of contact for the Senior Safety Manager to align on regional safety problem solving priorities.
- Regional and Network Problem Solving: Understand E&F key metrics and support the E&F Leadership team in organizing problem solving through data analysis and root cause identification. Leverage the E&F Senior Operations Managers and their teams to conduct deep and narrow problem solving while serving as a conduit to our Regional support teams (GSCL Ops, Safety, Network Planning, etc.) for cross-functional problem solving.
- Standards Development and Deployment: Build and enhance E&F standards – seeking the ‘best in class’ processes, tools, etc. to deploy across sites. Manage execution and follow through by conducting audits, seeking voice of the team, and making adaptations as needed for continuous improvement.

About you:
- 4 year degree in related field or equivalent experience in relevant technical or engineering field
- 7+ years of Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial or Reliability Engineering, or facilities management experience
- Strong driver and enabler of safety processes, procedures and behaviors. Knowledge with a safe work environment (OSHA Standards)
- Demonstrated reasoning, analytical and decision making skills
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Good reasoning, conflict-management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and root cause analysis in a technical problem solving environment
- Able to handle changing priorities and use of good judgment in stressful situations
- Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures
- Open to relocation within Region X
- Up to 30% travel
Physical Demands (must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Able to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the mezzanine platforms
- Able to traverse conveyor crossovers
Preferred Qualifications & Experiences
- Familiarity with material flow methodologies and reliability engineering
- Experience with facility layouts & construction
- Experience with manufacturing, distribution and/or logistics process flows & operations
