Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.
As Target continues to evolve its digital experience, the On-Platform Agentic Experience team is shaping how emerging AI and agentic capabilities can create simpler, more intuitive, and connected ways for guests to engage with Target across our digital channels. The team is responsible for building a new ecosystem of intelligent experiences that can understand guest needs, connect context and capabilities across the Target experience, and help guests more seamlessly accomplish their goals. This includes defining how agentic experiences show up across the guest journey, identifying the highest-value problems for this technology to solve, and developing the foundational capabilities and experience patterns needed to bring them to life. The team partners closely with UX, Engineering, Data Science, Personalization, enterprise platform teams, and business partners to translate rapidly evolving technology into meaningful guest experiences — balancing experimentation and speed with the scalability, trust, and quality required to shape the future of Target’s digital experience.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.
In this role, you will:
Own and shape Target’s on-platform agentic experience, defining how AI and agentic capabilities can solve meaningful guest problems and create simpler, more connected experiences across our digital channels.
Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for this emerging space, establishing where Target should invest and how the experience should evolve over time.
Identify and prioritize the highest-value guest problems and use cases, leveraging guest research, behavioral insights, experimentation, and business context to inform product decisions.
Design for the broader Target ecosystem, connecting experiences, context, data, and capabilities across the guest journey to help guests more seamlessly accomplish their goals.
Lead the development and delivery of agentic experiences in partnership with UX, Engineering, Data Science, Personalization, platform teams, and business partners, aligning dependencies and priorities across a complex cross-functional landscape.
Establish the foundational capabilities, product principles, and experience patterns needed to responsibly scale agentic experiences across Target’s digital ecosystem.
Balance near-term learning and experimentation with long-term platform and capability investments, helping define how agentic technology evolves from emerging use cases into an enduring part of Target’s digital experience.
You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.
You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.
