The Partner Onboarding team plays a critical role in enabling partners to successfully launch on Target Plus through a seamless, scalable, and high-quality onboarding experience.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager, Partner Onboarding, you will lead and develop a team responsible for delivering consistent and high-quality onboarding support for Target Plus partners.
This is primarily a people and operations leadership role, focused on building team capability and running a scalable, high-performing onboarding operation. You will own day-to-day team execution, operational performance, partner support, quality, and continuous improvement.
You will bring strong onboarding practitioner expertise to coach the team, develop talent, improve quality, and strengthen operational performance. You will work closely with U.S.-based functional leaders and cross-functional teams to execute against established priorities and within the global onboarding operating model.
U.S.-based functional leaders own the broader onboarding strategy, priorities, and operating model. This role will influence through deep onboarding expertise, operational insights, and strong execution, while translating those priorities into consistent, high-quality team performance.
This role is ideal for a strong people leader and onboarding practitioner who is energized by building teams, developing talent, and driving operational excellence at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of onboarding professionals, with clear expectations around performance, quality, and partner experience.
Own day-to-day operations including workload management, capacity planning, SLA adherence, backlog, and partner follow-ups.
Ensure consistent execution of onboarding playbooks, processes, quality standards, and escalation paths.
Use onboarding expertise to coach the team on the work, identify capability gaps, and drive learning and training to strengthen team performance.
Monitor onboarding performance, including SLAs, quality, NPS/PSAT, and operational metrics, and proactively identify risks, delays, and opportunities to improve partner experience and speed to launch.
Serve as the first escalation point for complex partner and operational issues, ensuring timely and appropriate escalation to U.S. onboarding and cross-functional teams.
Partner closely with U.S.-based functional leaders, Product, Technology, Category, Acquisition, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
Use data and operational insights to identify trends, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement.
Build strong operating rhythms around performance reviews, quality calibration, issue resolution, and team development.
Provide practitioner insights and feedback to U.S.-based functional leaders to help continuously improve and scale the onboarding operation.
What We Are Looking For
8+ years of experience in digital/e-commerce or marketplace onboarding, operations, partner/customer experience, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams.
Strong hands-on onboarding expertise, including experience with partner onboarding, learning and training, quality, SLAs, NPS/PSAT, and scaled operations.
Ability to coach teams on functional work, develop talent, and raise overall team capability.
Strong operational and analytical skills with experience managing workflows, performance, quality, and SLAs.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, particularly in a global environment.
Strong problem-solving, judgment, and escalation management capabilities.
Demonstrated ownership mindset with a focus on outcomes and accountability.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and work effectively within a global operating model.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, marketplaces, or partner onboarding is required.
