TD Asset Management Inc. (TDAM) is an Investment Management firm with leading market positions in active, quantitative and passive portfolio management serving a large and diversified client base including pension funds, corporations, institutions, endowments, foundations and high net worth individuals. We also offer private money management services and manage retail mutual funds.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a front-office Data Analyst to join us on the Portfolio Research & Analytics team to build cutting edge portfolio management and reporting tools. In this role, you will work directly with Portfolio Managers and Traders to automate data flows and develop dashboards for periodic reporting using technologies such as SQL, Python, and Business Intelligence tools. The tools built by the Portfolio Research & Analytics team are directly used in the daily management on monitoring in hundreds of billions of dollars in assets.

Students will have the opportunity to work on several projects, communicating with multiple teams in the front office and gaining a deeper understanding of their data needs. Students will gain experience working with large datasets, creating dashboards, backend development and significant hands-on SQL database experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree (Math, Engineering, CS, Economics) with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term.
Strong SQL (or similar database) skills, ability to work the large dataset and effectively communicate ideas are essential work success in this position.
Previous experience developing dashboards (Superset, Tableau, PowerBI) or other data visualization tools is preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Coursework or interest in finance will be considered an asset.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 5th – August 29th, 2025.
This is a hybrid work arrangement (Tuesday-Thursday in office)
