Job Description:
Preferred Qualifications for job postings
- Direct experience in developing cyber security/technology scenario assessments/analyses.
- Direct experience with cyber security capabilities, processes and controls (cyber capability/process/control ownership and/or evaluation/assessment owner or analyst).
- 7+ years of relevant experience in cyber security.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in Information technology.
- Experience working in large financial institutions.
- University degree.
- Information security certification / accreditation an asset.
- Direct experience with Cyber Risk Quantification (e.g., FAIR, etc.) is a significant plus.
Job Description:
Key Accountabilities:
- Create and manage end-to-end cyber security analysis scenarios with deliberateness, speed and in a repeatable fashion.
- Partner with Red Team and Intelligence Function to develop cyber scenarios that are current and relevant to Financial Institutions, aligned to Cyber Threat Matrix (list of top threats) and include critical assets as targets.
- In conjunction with teammates and key stakeholders, evaluate aligned cyber capabilities' mitigating capacity against defined threats in aggregate.
- In conjunction with teammates and key stakeholders, evaluate identified critical assets/technologies' capacity against defined threat(s).
- Provide specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential gaps and providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect the Bank.
- Quantify risk in terms of likelihood (or frequency) and Impact (or magnitude).
- Produce lengthy and detailed cyber security scenario analysis reports, to include socialization, approval and presentation to executives and key stakeholders.
- Identify, document, pursue and implement process improvements and enhancements as well as automation opportunities.
- Maintain appropriate, up-to-date documentation (playbooks, runbooks, etc.) and required reporting (metrics).
- Assist in managing the Cyber Scenario Library, keeping in line with 2nd line requirements.
- Identify key relationships to build, establish them and constantly manage and build upon them to the benefit of the team and function.
- Consult on scoring model development (control scoring, risk scoring, etc.)
Customer:
- Provide consultation and advice to partners and teammates on a broad range Technology Controls / Information Security programs / policies / standards and incidents for own specialized area
- As needed, conduct project consulting on assessment of risk, definition of required controls, appropriateness of implemented control procedures, vulnerability assessments and any other relevant areas
- As required, consult on Regulatory compliance requirements, reporting and questions
- As required, provide support and consulting in preparation for Audits and in composing management responses and appropriate remediation activities
Shareholder:
- Adhere to internal policies / procedures, technology control standards, and applicable regulatory guidelines
- Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities for improvement
- Adhere to and advise on / oversee / monitor / enforce enterprise frameworks and methodologies that relate to technology controls / information security activities
- Influence behavior to reduce risk and foster a strong technology risk management culture throughout the enterprise
- Remain informed of emerging issues, industry trends and/or relevant changes
- Actively manage relationships with other areas of Technology / businesses / corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with requirements
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank
- Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders where required
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes and sound infrastructure an in alignment with risk appetite
- Participate in business specific / cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert
- May develop / provide / contribute to complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional or enterprise level
