Job Description:

As a Business Analysis Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and potentially leading requirements management throughout the entire lifecycle of high-risk, strategic, and complex projects. Your ability to forge cohesive approaches to broad business solutions, ensuring full traceability to realize tangible benefits, will be critical to our success.

What you'll do:

Customer Focus:

  • Lead, analyze, document, and meticulously manage requirements by engaging stakeholders through a diverse toolkit of elicitation techniques. You'll probe, challenge, and synthesize information to achieve a shared understanding and consensus.

  • Map and validate current state processes, partnering with stakeholders to envision and define the desired future state. Your recommendations will be grounded in a holistic view of the end-to-end customer experience.

  • Provide expert support and guidance on business requirements delivery, proactively monitoring and mitigating requirements-related risks to ensure high-quality outputs and on-track progress.

  • Ensure that business processes and systems impacted by requirements are thoroughly analyzed, and that acceptance criteria clearly articulate the necessary changes to meet customer needs.

  • Collaborate closely with Change Management to assess and effectively manage the impact of changes on both customer and employee experience.

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive traceability of business requirements, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Leverage your deep domain, product, and systems knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert, providing valuable business and product insights and consistently driving focus towards business value.

  • Foster innovation by applying your expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas and employing critical thinking to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Proactively identify and escalate potential issues, providing timely notification, thorough assessment of options, and well-reasoned recommendations for swift resolution.

Shareholder Value:

  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant regulatory and framework controls, standards, and best practices.

  • Actively support the team in cultivating and maintaining strong, positive relationships with partners and key stakeholders.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure clear alignment with delivery frameworks and project objectives.

  • Apply strong analytical skills to thoroughly understand business problems, impacted stakeholders, and proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with TD's risk appetite. You will identify, document, and actively manage material risks and issues, escalating appropriately to ensure timely progress.

  • Address stakeholder concerns promptly and ensure effective problem resolution.

  • Contribute to change management planning and activities, including those focused on ensuring operational readiness.

  • Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities.

  • Contribute to Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) activities, as needed.

  • Provide valuable support, oversight, and guidance in the delivery of high-quality, reusable, scalable, and innovative requirements.

  • Uphold the TD Code of Conduct in all aspects of your work.

What you bring to the team:

  • Advanced knowledge of business analysis principles, methodologies, and delivery execution practices.

  • A strong understanding of the interplay between business needs and technology, acting as a skilled conduit between both worlds.

  • Proven ability to provide leadership guidance, make strategic recommendations, and collaborate effectively with business and technology partners to ensure technology solutions meet business objectives.

  • Experience in providing advisory support and guidance, with a track record of effectively overseeing requirements management.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and lead the resolution of complex requirements-related issues.

  • The capacity to work autonomously as a lead business analyst, while also coaching and guiding team members within your area of expertise.

  • Experience potentially leading requirements management for high-risk, strategic initiatives.

  • Reporting to a Senior Manager or Practice Area Lead.
