Role Description: Demonstrates full knowledge in benefits for multiple Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries and is an experienced sole contributor. Acts as the subject matter expert for the benefits provided across the countries in scope. Participates in the development of the Global benefits strategy and leads the implementation in the APAC region.
- Ensures day to day operational effectiveness of all benefits programs and processes in the region,
- Manages the relationships with consultants and providers in respective countries throughout APAC, ensuring contracts management and timely renewal,
- Manages benefit communications, including Open Enrollment, in partnership with leadership team and in coordination with Global Benefits team.
- Ensure that benefits information is maintained and up to date on CGWeb and other relevant platforms or documents (brochures, Matrix, etc.). Review CGWeb Benefits structure with CGWeb team when needed. Help create new and relevant communication material as needed.
- Oversees the pension services and their interaction with payroll,
- Prepares all relevant input for benefits surveys participation in all 6 countries
- Analyses results of benefits surveys and prepares rationale and recommendations for potential adjustments,
- Keeps abreast of regulation evolution in terms of pension plans, and related benefits and insurances and benefits trends.
- Demonstrates consulting skills by resolving complex issues and applies knowledge of Capital’s plans and summary plan descriptions to everyday situations,
- Coordinates with the Global Benefits Team members in overseeing offerings that cross regions (e.g., global health insurance coverage, mental health provider, etc.)
- Serves as a resource to team members to foster development
- In close collaboration with Shared Services, helps manage complex/escalated cases.
- Uses knowledge of Capital Group policy, updated regulations and procedures to evaluate and address a course of action
- As a subject matter expert, applies experience and expertise to establish and improve workflow and processes and contributes to the end-to-end process quality, together with the other Global Benefits Team and regional HR colleagues.
- Leads and/or participates in initiatives that have broad impact to the business.
- Keeps abreast/informed of Capital Group’s benefit policy revisions, processes and related regulations; makes suggestions for improvements
- Facilitates training sessions to explain Benefits to associates and reinforce engagement.
- Organise events related to benefits and in partnership with Capital Communities, when relevant (well-being, EAP, financial planning, menopause, DE&I….)
- Acts as expert regarding general benefit questions
- Seeks to continuously improve benefits processes to enhance overall associate experience and align with the HR 4S’s strategy.
- Develops thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote benefits which support talent acquisition, internal mobility, and associate’s retention.
- Identifies appropriate approach, conducts rigorous analysis, and provides options for resolving benefits related issues and recommends solutions.
- Designs and creates data visualizations for a diverse audience and identifies actionable insights through data analysis; makes relevant recommendations.
- Executes or leads on complex regional / global initiatives and projects, in partnership with their Global Benefits Team and management.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
