As the Social Media Manager in the Media Strategy team, you will play a critical role in shaping the digital voice and presence of Capital Group. Your expertise will guide the development of innovative content strategies that resonate with our diverse audience, enhancing engagement and strengthening brand loyalty. You will leverage data-driven insights to inform decisions and optimize social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with our business objectives and amplifying our message on a global scale. Your leadership will not only inspire the Social Media team but also foster collaborative efforts across departments to create a cohesive and impactful online experience for our clients.

  • Your role will involve strategic oversight and operational management of Capital Group’s social platforms, developing editorial plans, and coordinating publishing across channels.

  • You will drive a centralized content strategy for our global organic social media presence on platforms like LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and more, fostering collaboration across teams for cohesive content planning.

  • Your responsibilities include using social media intentionally as a communications tool to align with key business topics and providing a tailored experience that resonates with our diverse global client base.

  • You will manage and grow our social media channels, overseeing new launches and taking full ownership from conceptualization to post-implementation analysis.

  • Your role entails crafting social strategies and recommendations, building content plans, and engaging creatively to drive awareness, conversion, and customer acquisition.

  • You will regularly track performance, gather insights to inform improvements, stay updated on industry trends, ensure brand consistency, and develop best practices for knowledge sharing within the organization.

This new role on the Social Media team marks a significant evolution in our approach to digital engagement. We have transformed into a strategic unit that sets editorial standards and crafts content with global consistency and applicability. Our efforts create synergy between Capital Group’s Marketing, Communications, and Sales teams, amplifying the company’s reach and fortifying our brand’s narrative across all platforms.

  • You will have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, with an advanced degree or certification in Digital Marketing or Social Media Management being advantageous.

  • Your experience includes at least 5 years in social media management or content strategy, with a preference for 7 to 10 years, and a background in leadership roles.

  • You are proficient in using content management systems and social media tools, and you possess the technical skills for data analysis, graphic design, video editing, and multimedia content creation.

  • Your soft skills encompass strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a creative mindset aimed at innovation and engagement.

  • You have a comprehensive understanding of brand consistency, current social media trends, and best practices, with a keen eye for detail and big-picture strategy.

  • Your role will be pivotal in leading social media strategies, tailoring experiences to clients, and acting as the main point of contact for stakeholders.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $131,596-$210,554

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
