The Information Technology Group (ITG) is seeking a Lead Architect for the Servicing area to serve as the technical domain expert on better technologies to support our retail and/or retirement servicing area. You will steer strategic technology direction by leveraging AI and data, define target state architecture and roadmaps, and help build reference implementations in partnership with our delivery teams. You will also be responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, especially ML/AI technologies, that benefit this domain. You will play a significant role in mentoring and supporting architects and delivery teams on projects and initiatives across the Service portfolio.

We work with our business partners and the rest of IT to plan, design, enable, and mature the capabilities needed for Capital Group to accomplish our mission of delivering superior, long-term investment results and high-quality service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and drive the target state architecture centered on business outcomes and customer/associate experience by leveraging AI and Data.
  • Manage & own the solution blueprint for the respective servicing portfolio.
  • Accountable and oversee architecture for Digital/web Transformation and provide expertise and guidance to development teams
  • Engage with leadership to understand business strategy, articulate solution options, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence critical decisions.
  • Drive the adoption of AI technologies by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and data to optimize client/associate experiences and operation efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in AI, cloud computing, data management, and UI design to drive organizational innovation for AFSG.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for application architecture, cloud, integration architecture, information architecture, Micro-UI, microservice architecture, architectural best practices, design patterns, tools & platforms.
  • Engage with leadership to understand business strategy, articulate solution options, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence key decisions.
  • Design solutions that deliver business value aligned with architecture principles, technology standards, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility and scalability of ML/AI and data solutions while adhering to industry best practices and compliance with CG enterprise standards.
  • Evangelize adoption of development best practices like agile & lean methodologies, API-first development methodology, event-based architecture design, dev-ops, continuous delivery, test automation, containerization, and cloud deployments.
  • Act as coach and mentor with the architecture and delivery teams

  • AWS Solution Architect Certificate is required
  • Experience leveraging data and AI in back-office and Contact Center environments is required.
  • Proven experience and expertise in cloud-native technologies, ML/AI technologies, modern data engineering architecture, and modern application architectures are required.
  • Proven experience in leading technology/digital transformation from legacy architecture to modern architecture like Micro-ui architecture, event-based architecture, micro-service in the cloud
  • Proven experience in leading external-facing web implementation
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of related software engineering/architecture experience.
  • Demonstrated success engaging business partners in a consultative manner and turning business concepts into well-designed technology solutions
  • Proven ability to work well and influence others
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to generate and present great content effectively.
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry/asset management space is preferred.
  • Experience with contact center technologies related to phone, email, and mail channels (e.g., Genesys) is preferred.
  • Experience with recordkeeper technologies (e.g. SS&C and Empower) is a plus.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $187,370-$299,792

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $154,033-$246,453

Indianapolis Base Salary Range: $164,071-$262,514

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
