You have experience as an institutional client and consultant relationship manager with in-depth knowledge of the Canadian institutional market and ability to influence clients, consultants, prospects, and internal associates to drive growth and deliver a superior client experience. You can partner with colleagues, leadership, and cross-functional teams to advocate for the needs of our institutional client base. A strong, credible representative of Capital Group externally with the ability to prospect and grow our client and consultant relationships.

- You have the experience to retain and help grow institutional relationships.
- You will proactively lead and manage the relationship with institutional clients, consultants and group retirement platforms in Canada
- You can lead and coordinate execution of service plan and regular client reviews.
- You will maintain an active “at risk” list to identify areas of retention risk and work with the team to implement plans for retaining those relationships.
- You will determine and execute strategies to generate new consultant ratings with local and global consultants.
- You have the ability to partner with Capital Group’s global consultant relations teams to coordinate and execute on developing relationships, achieve, or improve ratings, raise assets, and support and strengthen advisory client relationships.
- You can develop and grow relationships with assigned field consultants to identify growth opportunities with current relationships.
- You will coordinate with RFP team as appropriate to help develop, adjust and refine messaging to drive success.
- You can build a relationship between North American and European & Asian client teams to share best practice, create efficiencies and explore wider opportunities with our multi-national client relationships.
- You will work closely with the institutional sales support team following a win to help onboard new clients.
- You can maintain discipline in capturing and recording client related activity.
- You will partner with National Accounts to identify sub-advisory opportunities.
Represent CG capabilities and brand in the market.
- You will be responsible for overseeing all client communications, both proactive and reactive
- You can manage client interactions with clients, including hosting in-person meetings and due diligence visits
- You will act as firm ambassador in the marketplace and deliver key firm and strategic messages.
Be an advocate for our client relationships
- You can create business plans for each strategic client relationship, identifying areas of retention risk and areas for potential growth and work with the broader team to execute on the plan.
- You will keep a list of all of our current clients and be their “voice” internally to drive awareness of their needs and how we can best serve them.
- You can effectively collaborate with the broader functional teams (marketing, product, institutional sales and support teams, investment group, investment specialists) to drive awareness of our institutional client needs
- You will lead regular team meetings to discuss, review, and create focus and actions for the week, month, quarter and year.
- You will provide regular and ongoing client relationship health reports to senior leadership.
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
