Job Summary:
As a Solutions Engineer III you will be part of the team that leads our DevOps and cloud migration initiatives for our Compliance and Order Management for Equity and Trading (COMET) application. This role is critical to implementing and supporting our infrastructure in AWS, ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our systems.

- Implement and optimize AWS infrastructure to support COMET
- Influence best practices on architecture and development workflows to enable productivity
- Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
- Oracle database support (setting up, automation, performance tuning, monitoring)
- Collaborate with other engineering teams, external vendors, and security teams
- Automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Mentor and lead other developers
- Work with other stakeholders (project managers, business analysts)
- Support critical tier applications with RPO/RTO objectives
Qualifications:
- You have proven experience in leading DevOps and platform initiatives, building infrastructure from the ground up
- You possess depth knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services
- You have DBA level expertise in Oracle 19c or above (ability to solve performance issues with tuning and assessing various types of logs)
- You have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Harness, GitHub
- You have experience with AWS design patterns and components, including API Gateway, VPC, IAM, ECR, EKS, CodePipeline, Oracle RDS, Disaster Recovery, Secrets Manager
- You have experience with Docker and containerizing applications from scratch
- Experience with Kafka messaging and setup
- You have worked with networking logistics (connectivity internally, external providers/consumers)
- You are a communicator with leadership and problem-solving skills
- Strong knack for DRY principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Charles River IMS (aka CRIMS, CRD) platforms
- Experience supporting applications with critical tier RPO/RTO objectives
Southern California Base Salary Range: $121,652-$194,643
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
