DevOps Engineer
The Capital Group
“ I can succeed as a DevOps Engineer”
Key Responsibilities:
CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain automated build-and-release pipelines using modern CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Harness) to facilitate rapid and reliable software deployments.
Infrastructure Automation: Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management (Ansible) to automate provisioning and configuration of servers, databases, and network components.
Cloud-Native Architecture: Drive adoption of cloud and container technologies by migrating applications to AWS/Azure, implementing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and utilizing cloud-native services to improve scalability and resiliency.
Monitoring & Reliability Engineering: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk) to proactively detect issues and ensure systems meet defined reliability targets (SLOs). Continuously improve system performance and reliability through testing and tuning.
Operational Support: Investigate and resolve issues in batch processing and deployment workflows, ensuring timely recovery and root cause analysis.
Developer Enablement & Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers to embed DevOps and reliability into the development lifecycle. Build internal tools and streamline development/test environments to increase developer productivity and reduce friction in delivering features.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and reduce toils. Champion best practices in DevOps, conduct retrospectives on incidents or outages, and drive initiatives that enhance platform performance, security, and maintainability.
