Investment Product Management Strategist

As the Investment Product Management Strategist, you will execute a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for products or offerings in Canada, ensuring that products are appropriately positioned, and that the product strategy is effectively executed to achieve business success in our retail and institutional business. You will be responsible for conducting competitive and industry research to inform future product development and partnering across the organization on go-to-market activities related to product management and launches. Additionally, you will be an integral partner across business functions within Canada and the broader global organization, as well as an important mentor to the product team in Canada.
Day to day, you will:
- Drive the long-term product roadmap development and recommendations for new offerings that are aligned with broader business objectives.
- Lead competitive research, business case creation, and execution of product management tailored to Canadian and GPSD markets.
- Manage cross-functional projects and teams, develop rollout strategies, and sequence activities based on business plans.
- Maintain deep knowledge of CG products and market trends, ensuring strong product positioning and organizational awareness.
- Collaborate with leadership, sales, marketing, and investment teams; may manage associates and interns.
- Acts as a vehicle SME, support go-to-market efforts, contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives, and foster a collaborative team environment.

- You have exceptional industry experience with 7+ years in investment-related roles and possess in-depth knowledge of investment strategies across asset classes
- You are strategic, partnering actively and looking holistically at the Investment Product operating environment to identify opportunities for improvement that can create efficiency and accelerate growth
- You are credible and influential, possessing a deep understanding of client needs and how to impact them through analysis and thought leadership
- As this is perceived to be a senior role on the Canadian Product team, you are a present, hands-on leader and have a track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
- You demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze opportunities and issues and then recommend business solutions
- You have extraordinary communication and presentation skills, able to deliver persuasive and concise messages to clients and senior business leaders on broad and nuanced topics
- You are collaborative, partnering seamlessly with teams across Capital Group, and externally, to effectively achieve business objectives
- You stay up to date on industry trends, best practices and possess the ability to apply these insights to business strategy and growth initiatives
- You hold a bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree, such as an MBA preferred or industry accreditations such as CFA Charter holder preferred
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
