“I can succeed as an Owner Representative Accounting Specialist”
The Owner Representative Accounting Specialist serves as the owner-side financial steward for Capital Group’s flagship real estate asset at 333 South Hope Street. In this role, you help uphold the quality, integrity, and discipline of property-level financial oversight by maintaining a strong financial review framework, ensuring alignment with budgets and governing agreements, identifying risks and discrepancies, and supporting informed operational and investment decision-making in partnership with Owner’s Representation.
In this role, you will review, validate, and analyze property-level financial reporting and translate it into clear, actionable insight for Owner’s Representation and Capital Group leadership. Key responsibilities include reviewing monthly financial packages; analyzing variances against budget, forecast, and prior-year results; validating general ledger activity and balance sheet accounts; monitoring cash flow, receivables, payables, reserves, and capital activity; and helping ensure compliance with budgets, management agreements, and internal controls. You will also support document management functions including filing and organizing executed leases, contracts and other real estate documentation; meeting and workflow coordination including scheduling and preparing meeting materials and recording key decisions and follow-ups to ensure maintenance of accurate and complete administrative records.

- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent certifications.
- You have 5+ years of progressive real estate or property accounting experience, preferably in owner, REIT, institutional investor, or private equity real estate.
- You have a strong knowledge of accrual accounting, GAAP, GL, and balance-sheet support.
- You have experience partnering with third-party property managers, accounting teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting quality.
- You have a solid understanding of internal controls, financial compliance, audit support, and the importance of timely, accurate reporting.
- You have excellent communication skills and can translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for business partners and decision-makers.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $125,909-$201,454
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
