Product Specialist Associate

Position Summary
The role of the Product Specialist Associate is responsible for coordinating with the various Carlyle investment teams including Carlyle Asia Partners (“CAP”) and Carlyle Asia Partners Growth (CAPG), and Investor Relations, Global Communications and Marketing teams to attract and manage Limited Partner investments in Carlyle Asia strategies. The Product Specialist role emphasizes new business development and client relationship management. Product Specialists are involved in developing marketing materials and written content in support of capital raising and retention efforts. The role demands a high degree of collaboration with other Product Specialist team members and the global Investor Relations team.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, among others:
- Support existing client relationships by updating reports, supporting investment calls and engaging with internal client teams, etc.
 - Attend client meetings, address and resolve client's product related enquiries.
 - Conduct research, develop written content and marketing materials in support of prospect development and client relationship management.
 - Conduct comprehensive due diligence undertaken on each potential client opportunity.
 - Work closely with the Investor Relations, Investment Teams, Fund Management and Legal & Compliance teams to build fluent knowledge of the Carlyle Asia Platform and the industry in general.
 
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
· Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Communication / Stakeholder Management
· Strong verbal and written skills in English and other Asian languages
· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, self-motivated and independent.
· Presence, maturity, and credibility to effectively represent Carlyle as a Product Specialist internally and externally.
Collaboration / Process Management
· Highly organized with good attention to detail.
· Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
· Desire to build relationships and influence people at all levels and functions; can work through difficult problems and in conflict situations.
Coordination / Project Management
· Partnership approach to supporting client relationships and capital raising activities creatively and proactively.
· Strong research and writing skills to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts, ideas and processes.
· Unimpeachable integrity with an uncompromised reputation.
