Carlyle AlpInvest is a leading global private equity investor with over $102 billion of assets under management as per September 30, 2025. Approximately 75% of these funds are invested in private equity funds globally, including primary and secondary transactions, with the remainder invested directly in companies as a co-investor in Europe, North America and Asia. Position Summary
AlpInvest Partners seeks to hire an Analyst with a focus on primary fund investments in Asia. The Analyst is a two-year program (with optional 6 months extension). Located in our Hong Kong office and reporting to the Principal of Primary Fund Investments in Hong Kong, the Analyst is expected to play a key role in providing support in investment functions including GP market mapping and sourcing, fund and portfolio company analysis, preparation of investment recommendations, as well as various client reports and projects as needed.
Education & Certificates
Professional Experience
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in private equity (preferred), investment banking, or management consulting (a focus on private equity would be prioritized)
Competencies & Attributes
· Excellent written and spoken English is required
· Knowledge of an additional Asian language is considered an advantage
· Proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint, and savvy with technology
· Strong research and analytical skills as well as superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills
· Familiarity with basic financial modeling, valuation methodologies and accounting principles
· Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior management
