Position Summary
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and development of the corporate valuation process, including maintaining and assisting in developing valuation models, valuation analytics and data management, internal/external valuation reporting, tracking valuation deliverables and driving process efficiencies through a technology lens.
In-Office Requirement: 4 days per week
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Valuation Models and Technology 35% of time
- Assist with maintaining and updating existing valuation models and developing new valuation models
- Interact with GTS and business teams to develop business requirements for future-state valuation automation and database (including being a thought leader on how things can be done better using AI)
- Monitor regular deliverables through SharePoint and other tracking methods
- Work closely with valuation process stakeholders on valuation issues
Investment/Fund Level Valuation Metrics and Reporting 20% of time
- Prepare and update regular fund and investment valuation analytics and reports
- Assist in developing trending and other key management reports
- Work closely with other areas of Investor Services to ensure valuation data is consistent across firm
- Manage and maintain valuation database and assist/facilitate interactions between the database and downstream systems
- Create ad-hoc reports as required
Valuation Process 45% of time
- Interact and coordinate with Fund Management teams on valuation committee meetings and regular deliverables
- Track and manage compliance with regular deliverables and policy
- Maintain and update key valuation inputs for use by investment teams in valuation models
- Assist with identifying and developing standard processes to streamline valuation process and add efficiencies to preparation of valuations
- Assist with reviewing investment valuations
Qualifications
Requirements
Education & Certificates
- Bachelor’s Degree, required
- Concentration in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Mathematics, or equivalent relevant work experience in addition to Bachelor’s Degree in another field, required.
- CFA or progress towards CFA is a plus
Professional Experience
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, required
- Experience with database systems and Microsoft Access (experience with business requirement and working with an IT team to develop systems a plus)
- Working knowledge of valuation concepts regarding operating companies, real estate, energy and/or debt/equity financial instruments
- Experience analyzing and modelling cash flows; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of cash flow analysis and financial modelling
- Knowledge of various AI tools and ways in which they can improve processes

Benefits/Compensation
The compensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $115,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
