Your role at Clorox:
This leader is responsible for overseeing the HSE function and related activities in their plants. This leader ensures that their plant successfully fulfills enterprise HSE policies, programs, and priorities, collaborates with the other plant functions to support plant HSE needs, and creates a strong plant safety culture. In addition, this leader will be a part of the plant leadership squad.In this role, you will:
- Create processes to ensure a safe working environment throughout the plant.
- Develop and execute a safety incident investigation process to drive root cause analysis and action planning to eliminate future risks.
- Coordinate, implement, and maintain the highest level of compliance with OSHA and Clorox standards.
- Serve as the point of contact for safety and environmental inspectors, maintaining a professional relationship with them.
- Complete timely environmental regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate to ensure that capital and investment plans at the site align with the highest priority HSE needs.
- Offer recommendations to operations for safe engagement between employees and machines when introducing new equipment, improvements, or technologies.
- Lead efforts in driving environmental initiatives that support sustainability goals.
- Support the establishment of metrics to achieve HSE goals.
- Conduct on-site HSE assessments and observe plant activities to identify and communicate out-of-compliance behaviors or conditions, taking immediate action to ensure compliance.
- Develop and lead the Zero Waste to Landfill strategy.
- Achieve “World Class” HSE results at the site level, including reducing injuries, notices of violation, spills, and environmental incidents, and implementing effective reporting and risk reduction follow-up to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee the conduct of and sign-off on completion of plant HSE trainings
- Escalate the reporting of HSE issues to the Center SC function for review
- Support plant manager with all plant HSE-related matters

What we look for:
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience in safety roles within manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
- Facilitate and manage safety improvements using structured improvement methodology tools.
- Identify safety gaps, prioritize action items, and lead initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
- Train and mentor plant HSE leads, providing ongoing support with regulatory and technical expertise.
- Develop HSE leads' capability to independently manage safety processes and compliance.
- Collaborate with corporate HSE teams to ensure full compliance with Clorox safety standards.
- Work closely with the corporate team to address and fulfill plant-specific HSE needs.
