The Capital Project system Manager team is part of the Global Technical Services organization and is committed to supporting the Clorox Capital Program including the tools and policies that govern the process. The professional we seek will coordinate and ensure Clorox standards, requirements and policies (forecasting and planning of budgets) are compliant.. As part of the GTS organization, you will directly connect to championing both the consumer and your teammates to be well and thrive every day. Global Technical Services is at the forefront of delivering the next generation high-speed packaging lines, enabling sustainable packaging, or designing a new plant, ready to meet the business challenges head-on.

As a Capital System Manager, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of Clorox Capital Program consistency with business strategy, commitments, and goals. You will use Clorox engineering and financial principles and Early Management tools to determine strategies to kick off the Capital Business plan, forecasting events, evaluate and understand the requirements of company metrics, lead a team of Capital System administrator; monitor Cashflow plans, budgets, expenditures, vendor management, procurement, and monthly reporting. Our goal is to deliver reliable and help the company grow top and bottom lines.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with Internal Controls requirements for capital project approval processes.
  • Ensure Capital Authorization Matrices are maintained and follow Delegation of Authority guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot user and system issues. Engage developers as needed to resolve issues.
  • Identify and execute improvements to capital systems. Proactively engage users and managers to understand opportunities in systems and processes.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Engineering Managers in ORW for capital processes.

Capital Forecasting & Reporting

  • Lead efforts to develop quarterly capital spending forecast updates, the Budget, and the 3-year capital business plan.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance, and Business Units leadership team to develop quarterly capital spending forecasts, the annual budget, and the 3-year capital business plan.”
  • Drive changes and improvements to capital forecasting and 3-year capital business plan process
  • Provide Leadership with forward-looking financial direction and guidance relative to spending and forecasting.
  • Develop systems for reporting of actual capital spending by period (monthly and/or quarterly) for International.
  • Generate quarterly CAPEX scorecard and deck for Senior Leaders.
  • Maintain the accuracy of forecast data in SAP

Lead the Capital System Procurement Team for GTS Engineering managed sourcing events that will execute the following task:

  • Assist Project Managers to a) prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ) documents, including bid instructions, quote form, scope of work, contract and safety requirements; b) manage sourcing event including Request for Information (RFI) process; and c) negotiate contract.
  • Execute sourcing event including issuance of invitation to bid and RFQ, management of Requests for Information (RFI) and tabulation of results and clarifications.
  • Plans, executes, follow-ups and institutes continuous improvement to the Supplier On-Boarding Tool for high priority projects.
  • Adhere to Clorox Procurement Policies.
  • Sustain procurement best practices by developing job aids and delivering training to GTS and updating the Capital Project Management sharepoint site.
  • Work with SAP creating purchase orders.
  • Obtain and execute Non-Disclosure Agreements with Vendors from Legal.
  • Support contract execution by using Docusign and uploading to Legal Apttus platform

Training, System, & Process Improvement

  • Lead the development of One-Right-Way capital processes by maintaining, improving, and creating training documents and job-aids.
  • Serve as site owner for the Capital Project Management SharePoint site
  • Coordinate the development and revision of training materials for the Capital Project Workshops
  • Support the Capital Project Workshops.
  • Provide support and/or leadership to other Global Technical Services initiatives as needed.

Lead Community of Practices Strategic planning

  • Define Objectives: Clearly outline the goals and objectives of the CoP aligned with organizational or community goals.
  • Develop Strategy: Build a strategic plan to achieve the CoP objectives, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify Partners: Identify and engage key partners, including potential members and leadership sponsors.
  • Handle Content: Lead all aspects of the creation and dissemination of content, such as tools, Standards, and training.
  • Monitor Engagement: Track and analyze member participation and engagement levels and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Mentor Members: Provide guidance and support to emerging leaders and active members within the CoP.
  • Build Leadership: Foster leadership opportunities and responsibilities among members to enhance community ownership and growth.
  • Travel is required 0-30% depending upon project activity

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of work experience in project management, manufacturing projects on budgets, and/or Accounting.
  • 3 years of people management experience as this position will have 3 people reporting to him/her
  • 3 years of experience with ERP software solutions (experience with SAP S/4 HANA preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering) is preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others, team-oriented, with influencing skills, business acumen, and detail orientation for financial data.
  • Background in Financial/Purchasing and experience with Billing and invoicing is preferred.
  • Ms, MBA or higher degree (desired)
  • SAP IM-PS modules Implementation Experience (desired)

The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100
Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300
Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600
