Your role at Clorox:

Provide Distribution operations expertise in supporting plant and corporate logistics objectives, in order to deliver on-time shipments of high quality products to meet customer needs in a safe and efficient manner that minimizes cost. The Distribution manager will report directly to the Sr Plant Operations Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide consistent and timely leadership to highlight Safety as the most important piece of the operation as well as delivering all related programs and initiatives.
  • Coach and develop team members through our Performance Management processes and drive skill block progression.
  • Drive Journey Map priorities for the department and plant.
  • Lower Logistics’ costs thru implementation of world class process and control.
  • Improve service by increasing On Time Delivery (OTD) levels, lowering Overages, Shortages, & Damage (OS&D) levels.
  • Provide Leadership for all distribution center employees in the form of coaching and development.
  • World Class Operations and Distribution Leadership: Successfully leverage the WCO tools and processes to identify and drive improvements and loss reductions that enable the Aberdeen Plant to achieve short and long term goals.
  • Continue to drive Aberdeen to be supplier of choice, maintaining dwell times and enhanced driver interactions and experience while at the site.
  • Own Plant distribution inventory metrics while ensuring internal controls compliance.
  • Manage yard and shuttle contractor lane and relationship between site operations and Regional Distribution Center.
  • Provide leadership for Plant scheduling to include weekly scheduling review, forecasting, schedule attainment, and capacity planning as well as relationship building with corporate planning and logistics functions.
  • Develops strategic plan for driving efficient, cost effective distribution operations.
  • Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to understand service and efficiency trends. Documents and communicates results thru available reporting.
  • Analyze cost performance data to pinpoint areas of opportunity and to validate effectiveness.
  • Participate in cross functional work teams within Clorox to eliminate root causes of customer supply chain inefficiency.
  • Develops and executes against balanced plan of interaction with plant operations and distribution activities.
  • Maintain partnership with Security pertaining to Yard View and incoming/outbound trailer inspections.
  • Partner with Packaging and Palletizing operations daily to ensure high customer service levels.

What we look for:

  • 3 years of logistics or manufacturing experience in managing a team
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain is preferred
  • Experience with production/inventory control systems
  • Experience with SAP applications
  • Leadership and ability to effectively influence
  • Strong communication, written and verbal
  • Analytical and decision-making
  • Planning and organization
  • Broad knowledge of end-to-end supply chain
  • Teamwork skills
  • Previous management experience required

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
