Your role at Clorox:

The MES/WMS Lead’s primary role is to lead the integration of the MES (manufacturing execution system) and WMS (warehouse management system) for the Burt's Bees site. Both systems will interface with SAP and this role is responsible for managing the interfaces between these systems. After implementation and integration, this role will lead execution, oversight, and improvement of the MES and WMS systems.

In this role, you will:

  • 1. Collaborate with Operations and Planning to ensure that MES dashboarding and WMS deliver maximum value for the site. Manage the detailed design of the planning/scheduling and manufacturing excellence portions of the MES software. Develops and provides data connectivity (e.g. – OPC) between factory floor machines and the MES. Develops and provides integration and connectivity with ERP and other manufacturing management systems (e.g. – quality systems, inventory systems, warehouse management systems, etc.). Provides MES technical guidance, governance, guidelines and troubleshooting support to manufacturing facility. Cultivate in-house capability to enable site personnel to make system modifications and improvements after MES/WMS Hypercare has ended. Become the site expert on MES/WMS.
  • 2. Lead integration of WMS and MES systems for the manufacturing site. Key associated responsibilities will include: interfacing with corporate resources, contractors, and site personnel to ensure the system meets the needs of the site, documenting work processes to enable operations to successfully adopt WMS/MES, and coaching teammates on utilization of the MES/WMS systems. Ensure that business processes are able to be performed end-to-end and resolve and/or escalate any problems that are identified in a timely manner.
  • 3. Identify and support future improvements and/or modules for the WMS and MES systems (or other manufacturing software systems for the site). Support training at the facility level with personnel on MES implementation, support, and use. Creates and implements action plans to increase process effectiveness. Participates in a Community of Practice or Platform Team with all manufacturing plants using MES tool(s) to maintain standards in reporting and ensure knowledge sharing across the Enterprise. Identify and support future improvements and/or modules for the WMS and MES systems (or other manufacturing software systems for the site).

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in warehousing, manufacturing, and/or planning.
  • Direct experience with MES and/or WMS. Implementation experience a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, issue resolution, and time management skills
  • Proven skills to effectively document and communicate business processes
  • Ability to escalate critical issues as needed
  • Extensive shop floor experience in manufacturing or warehousing environments
  • Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
  • Proficiency in documentation and computing. Strong independent leadership skills.
  • Develop work stream processes to improve efficiencies and productivity across multiple disciplines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills; able to effectively engage with all levels of organization and internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900
