The Clorox Company is seeking a qualified candidate for an Inventory Specialist Lead role reporting to the Logistics Manager. The primary responsibility for this position is to safeguard the plant’s inventory; ensuring we adhere to and maintain compliance with all corporate directives governing inventory management. The role will require strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to effectively influence peers. The employee must demonstrate and sustain proficiency in Safety, Quality, Housekeeping, Production, and Cost. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, and excel in communication and collaboration. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can lead change, manage ambiguity, and deliver exceptional results with minimal supervision.Hourly rate: $
In this role, you will:
Count, Reconcile & Post Inventory Adjustments
Perform cycle counts needed to ensure all items within walls are cycled quarterly.
Perform weekly yard checks to hold internal and external teams accountable for inbounding materials
Maintain accurate audit ready files such as BOLs and COAs for compliance and quarterly submission.
Develop an inventory counting staffing plan to assist in quarterly cycle count completion.
Train employees on cycle counting.
Work with process operators to cycle count bulk material as needed.
Generate the quarterly inventory document.
Maintain and communicate status updates of quarterly inventory trackers.
Ensure quarterly inventory timeline submission is met.
Supports the role of evaluating cycle counts and recommends changes in loss allowance when applicable
Supports team for annual loss allowance updates.
Supports the organization and leads the site’s annual wall to wall inventory audits.
Other
Ability to backfill Logistics Lead, and Customer Service Representative Team members as needed.
Support IDMS (vendor PO) reconciliations.
Support transportation/shipment needs by sending back materials to vendors.
Work with the Quality team to ensure that all raw material and finished good holds are being uploaded into SAP.
Work with the Quality team to ensure material disposition is happening in timely matters.
Lead monthly report out on hold materials on trailers.
Lead Weekly process inventory meetings.
Lead Daily Problem Solving to identify gaps in inventory accuracy and other departmental problems.
SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Support
Work with suppliers to get necessary barcodes on incoming materials
Designate inventory locations and provide feedback on system logic relating to inventory staging and processes.
Train team members on EWM processes such as cycle counting
Inventory data capturing to have a smooth start-up with correct inventory quantities and locations.
Conduct data validity tests to ensure inventory locations and counts are correct.
EWM Daily Support
Investigate handling unit discrepancies to troubleshoot what EWM steps were missed.
Aid in balancing inventory at the end of production runs.
Perform daily cycle counts to ensure consistent inventory accuracy.
What we look for:
Experience with SAP EWM, SAP S/4HANA, or similar inventory/shipping software.
Experience working in an environment that uses RF scanners.
Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
