Your role at Clorox:

In this role, you will own and execute the Raw Material Quality Assurance program, focusing on supplier qualification, compliance, and continuous improvement. You will partner closely with the Supplier Quality Manager and cross-functional teams to strengthen supplier relationships, monitor performance through KPIs, and implement quality and process improvements across the raw material supply base. This position ensures that all raw materials meet Clorox’s stringent standards for safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, supporting operational excellence and consumer trust.

In this role, you will:

  • Raw Material Assessment: define and oversee the evaluation and approval of suppliers and raw materials, ensuring that they can consistently meet the company and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control Procedures: Develop and enforce raw material inspection and testing procedures protocols, including defining relevant sampling plans, specific laboratory/ sensory analyses, and microbiological evaluations.
  • Ensure appropriate approved specifications are available for all materials and that the specifications comply with all internal and external requirements
  • Work with R&D on the raw material specifications key parameters and testing
  • Assist the manufacturing site with raw material supply and quality issues
  • Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers, conduct regular audits, and align on appropriate corrective actions and timings for the resolution of any quality issues.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all raw materials comply with applicable pharmaceutical and food safety standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, EU regulations), allergen declarations, and labeling laws.
  • Documentation and Traceability: ensure systems exist to maintain accurate records of raw material origins, test results, certifications, and supplier documentation for traceability and regulatory audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks associated with raw material sourcing, including contamination, adulteration, and supply chain vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies and communicate these accurately to leadership
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve raw material quality, supplier performance, and cost efficiency while maintaining compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with procurement, production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs teams.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, raw material quality management (or related field) within a regulated business or food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of supplier management programs and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO, FSMA, MOCRA, etc).
  • Working experience of FDA CFR 210/211 and USP requirements
  • Experience with supplier audits, material testing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools (PowerBI preferred).
  • Project management experience (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong written communication, presentation, problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Experience with KPI development and performance tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt strongly preferred.
  • Travel 0-25%

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $88,700 - $165,900

–Zone B: $81,300 - $152,100

–Zone C: $73,900 - $138,300
