Your role at Clorox:

The Assistant Brand Manager supports the overall growth and brand health of Glad in Malaysia and Singapore. This role helps drive the business growth and the execution of brand strategy, digital content, e-commerce activations and market operations. The ABM works closely with cross-functional teams, third-party agencies to deliver strong brand fundamentals and support country-level activation.

He/ She will report directly to the Glad Regional Brand Lead in the delivery of Brand net sales, market share, growth and profitability targets as budgeted. mainly for demand creation and activation of key activities for:

The specific tasks include:
• Assists in the development of the Brand’s demand creation plan by developing an understanding of the drivers of Brand growth, specifically Innovation pipeline, New Products, Commercial innovation initiatives, label/ packaging refresh and digital initiatives.
• Accountability for Brand analysis and evaluation of performance of trade and consumer promotions, digital initiatives, measuring effectiveness and ROI of key Brand activations, co-branding initiatives and in-store implementation against measurable objectives. Identifies solutions and make recommendations to improve effectiveness based on performance monitoring.
• Build collaborative relationships with Sales and other functions, agencies, distributors and Studio team to manage day-to-day operations.
• Assist in the brand’s day to day operational activities including monitoring of A&P tracking, administrative and documentation support, and coordination with suppliers and externals.

He/she will also have dotted line responsibility to/ alignment with the Malaysia-Singapore Country Lead on operational efficiencies.

In this role, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy & Business Fundamentals

  • Support the development and refinement of the brand strategy, including category, consumer, customer, and competitor analyses.
  • Track brand health, category trends, and competitive activities in digital and offline channel; prepare regular updates and insights.
  • Assist in building strong annual/quarterly brand plans using the category–consumer–customer–competition-Clorox (5Cs) framework.
  • Consolidate local market inputs to inform strategic decisions

Inputs to Business planning

  • Assists in preparing for business reviews, Strat refresh, LRPs, budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Inputs to sales on progressive recommended shelf layouts, planogram that reflect the “Perfect Store” concept, trade selling story for new products and new category ideas, insights on shelving and assortment.

Activation of Integrated demand creation plans

  • Integrates AMPS and sales plans to Demand creation plans and provides strategic choices
  • Activates brand activation plans according to Marketing calendar of plans.
  • Effectively coordinate and implement consumer/ trade promotions, marketing research, influencer programs, product launches by working closely with agencies, distributors, Sales and other stakeholders, and post-evaluation.

Management of various aspects of sales & marketing administration

  • Asset pack management and coordination with digital agencies to leverage
  • Assists in timely execution and development of content and digital initiatives.
  • Multi-functional coordination related to promotions, sampling activities, visual merchandising development, e-commerce, pricing and SKU maintenance and label refresh.
  • Fulfill pre-requisite documentation, eg promo work plans, internal forms, sales & trade info
  • Reports – A&P expense tracking, launches, business reviews and post- promo evaluation.

E-Commerce Support

  • Support e-comm marketing across key platforms, ensuring that digital strategy is contributing to business growth, hence the need to work closely with trade teams to strengthen the conversion experience on Lazada, Shopee, Tiktok, and retailer platforms.
  • Coordinate closely with digital agencies in managing/tracking the ff:
  • Understand and map the full digital consumer journey for Glad across SEA (awareness to post-purchase_
  • Support the development of full-funnel digital strategies aligned with consumer behavior
  • Track and improve digital shelf health: content scores, search ranking, reviews, ratings, share of search.
  • Track journey KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR, CVR, ROAS, reviews, repeat purchase) and recommend shifts based on performance.

What we look for:

Requirements and Skills:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce.
  • Minimum 3 years product/ related brand management experience in the consumer goods/ FMCG industry (regional experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated understanding of competitive environment, consumer and customer behavior.
  • Experience in integrated marketing mix: Communications planning and briefing, agency and supplier management.
  • Strong brand foundation: Strategy & planning, positioning, brand purpose, communications and digital.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Experience with New Product launches, role and stage /gates process, project management.
  • Stakeholder management: Ability to work cross-functional activities and form productive business relationship across functions.
  • Strong analytical skills; keen business sense and knowledge of the markets
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Driven and proactive in solving problems and pushing improvements
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Occasional travel is involved.
