Your role at Clorox:
The Director of Global Transportation has a critical role overseeing various transportation functions. This includes managing North American truckload and intermodal freight, supporting trade, customer pickup, and interplant modes, as well as coordinating product deployment and demand/supply planning. They are also responsible for transportation management related to Import and Export operations in the United States and contributing to transportation strategy development in LATAM, AMEA, and Asia. This role leads a team responsible for delivering value, top-tier customer service, and cost management for a nearly $1 billion annual transportation spend. This leadership role involves coaching four mid-level leaders and 27 employees who impact the financial performance of domestic and international business units daily. Key responsibilities include strategy development, metric management, cost optimization, overseeing strategic partners like 3PL providers, process implementation, and fostering team capability development.In this role, you will:
- Develop and lead transportation, to include import/export planning and execution, strategy development and implementation to deliver superior service and cost performance.
- Develop, guide and coach direct reports to aide in maintaining high morale, drive process efficiencies, build capabilities, and support/drive ownership of global transportation responsibilities.
- Lead efforts for continuous portfolio service level improvements and transportation network optimization initiatives engaging all involved parties (internal and external). Work cross-functionally to minimize service disruptions and ensure network flow.
- Drive global transportation costs performance. Proactively address cost drivers and aggressively eliminate variances and drive out waste to deliver value-creation.
- Ownership of strategic oversight and performance of strategic partners (3PLs, carriers, etc.) execution. Data is a critical part of this, and will require a strong depth of knowledge, ability to assess insights and ensure the transportation team and strategic partners are accountable to business objectives.
- Partner with key business unit leadership, other Logistics teams and SC sub-functions on strategic initiatives providing transportation insights, subject matter expertise, and transportation solutions.
- Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing to secure optimal freight value considering service and cost globally. Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing in the development of the strategic partner relationships.
- Owns the development and maintenance of global transportation processes that yield operational excellence and ensure compliance.
- Maintain industry/market expertise leveraged to keep global transportation operations on the forefront of the industry/market innovation and trends.
- Operate as a thought leader on the Logistics Operations Leadership Team, Logistics Executive Leadership Council, multiple business units Tier 4 Teams and the Supply Chain Executive Committee.

What we look for:
- 15+ years of Operations experience required, Transportation experience required and additional operations experience preferred.
- BS/BA degree required, preferred: degree in business, engineering, supply chain or logistics/transportation management
- Transportation, Logistics, and Operational Experience with the ability to work and adapt in fast-paced operations environment. Ability to successfully multi-task.
- Ability to influence at senior leadership level with both internal and external partners
- Proven leadership with the ability to strategize, influence, be decisive, and turn ideas into actions.
- Strong carrier, 3PL, customer and supplier management experience (including negotiation tactics and performance management)
- Experience with the development of forecasts/budgets and managing operations against a forecast/budget.
- Must be self-motivated, and possess strong abilities to work seamlessly across functional boundaries
- Ability to provide end-to-end, strategic supply chain leadership
- Ability to learn quickly and operate effectively with various international cultures
- Ability to impact performance on weekly, monthly and annual basis
- Functional experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team leadership, personnel development, career development and motivational skills.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $175,100 - $360,700
–Zone B: $160,500 - $330,700
–Zone C: $145,900 - $300,600
