Your role at Clorox:

We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Global Business Services (GBS) Record to Report (R2R) team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and driving continuous process improvements for the areas of Cash, Blackline, Intercompany, and General Accounting. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical accounting knowledge, decision making, and the ability to influence outcomes while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. This role provides leadership oversight to the team, including direct management of two team members.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, standardization, and quality within the R2R function.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet account reconciliations, ensuring variances are properly analyzed, documented, and resolved.
  • Ensure appropriate control execution and documentation in alignment with the applicable Risk and Controls Matrix (RCM).
  • Provide timely and effective support for internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting documentation and responses.
  • Apply judgment and analytical skills to identify issues, assess risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Partner effectively with cross‑functional and global stakeholders to resolve issues and meet business objectives.
  • Support special projects and transformation initiatives as required.
  • Serve as BlackLine System Administrator
  • Troubleshoot BlackLine errors and user issues, ensuring smooth execution of month‑end activities.
  • Lead intercompany accounting processes, including postings, reconciliations, and resolution of intercompany differences.
  • Partner with regional and global stakeholders to resolve complex intercompany issues and out‑of‑balance positions.

What we look for:

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, U.S. GAAP, and financial statements.
  • Experience supporting month‑end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and R2R processes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of S4 and BlackLine preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid skills across Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Workplace type:

Hybrid - 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home
