Your role at Clorox:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior HR Advisor who brings strategic insight, strong business acumen, and a passion for excellence in people practices, supporting our dynamic teams. This role is a true HR business partner to leaders and employees across corporate functions, delivering expert guidance across the employee lifecycle and helping shape HR programs, processes, and culture in a fast paced environment. A strong foundation as an HR Generalist is required for the role.

The Senior HR Advisor reports to the Director, HR and will support core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, talent development, workforce planning, total rewards, organizational design/transformation, policy development, culture, HR operations, and compliance — all while enabling growth and operational agility. This role also partners with HR colleagues at plant locations to ensure consistent application of policies, programs, and culture across the organization.

In this role, you will:

Strategic HR Partnership & Employee Relations

  • Act as a trusted HR consultant to leaders and employees, delivering expert guidance on complex employee relations and workplace issues.

  • Manage workplace investigations, documentation, and resolution strategies with fairness, transparency, and legal compliance.

  • Coach leaders through performance management, conflict resolution, accommodations, and change initiatives.

  • Support and advise on restructuring activities, workforce transitions, and sensitive organizational changes.

  • Ensure consistent application of policies while reinforcing a culture of fairness, transparency, and accountability.

  • Provide strategic oversight on Health & Safety matters in partnership with internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with HR colleagues at plant and distribution sites to ensure alignment on policies, programs, and people practices across all locations.

Performance, Talent & Organizational Strategy

  • Participate in mid year and year end performance calibration and talent review processes to ensure alignment and equity in performance outcomes.

  • Partner with HR COEs and leaders to identify capability gaps and build targeted development plans

  • Support organizational design, role clarity, and the evolution of structures to meet shifting business needs.

  • Contribute to and promote the design and rollout of programs that elevate performance and engagement.

Talent Acquisition Enablement

  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition to prioritize roles, sequence hiring plans, and coordinate timing for mid and senior level talent.

Compensation & Payroll Partnership

  • Support compensation planning and job evaluations, providing input on offers, promotions, and pay changes while ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness.

  • Partner with Compensation and Payroll teams to deliver on compensation cycles, incentive programs, and biweekly payroll cycles

  • Act as a resource to leaders on competitive compensation decisions and organizational impacts.

Policy, HR Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure Workday data integrity and deliver precise analytics to inform leadership decisions.

  • Lead or support policy updates ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies, and support audit and governance processes.

  • Guide accommodation efforts and uphold equitable practices across the employee experience.

Cross Functional Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or contribute to strategic HR initiatives such as onboarding redesign, Workday enhancements, policy modernization, talent programs, and change management efforts.

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements that enhance HR service delivery and operational excellence leveraging data to inform insights and shape the story

  • Work closely with plant HR teams on local program launches, policy rollouts, and process standardization.

What we look for:

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree and post-graduate certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline an asset or equivalent working experience.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive HR experience, in corporate functions. Experience within consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, or similar environments is an asset.

  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or actively progressing toward designation) preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experienced HR Generalist – demonstrated experience across HR functions. Manufacturing experience an asset.

  • Strong HR business partnering experience supporting senior leadership across multiple functions.

  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of talent management including employee relations, organizational transformation, performance management, talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, payroll, program launches, and policy implementation.

  • Deep knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and regulatory environment

  • Ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Proficiency with Workday and data/reporting capabilities. High level of data fluency – ability to leverage data to derive insights

  • Strategic thinker with a solutions mindset

  • Strong communicator – clear & concise

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience, and location. Below is the targeted range for this role.

  • Non-Sales: $83,278 - $128,248

  • Sales: $83,329 - $128,327
